What is bio-acetate?
The bio-acetate used in our collection contains plant-derived cellulose sourced from wood pulp and cotton. The cellulose is chemically processed into cellulose acetate and blended with other ingredients to produce the frame material. The cellulose source describes an ingredient in the frame, rather than the composition of the entire pair.
What are castor seed oil sunglasses?
These sunglasses use frame material containing components derived from castor oil. Through chemical processing, these components are used to produce a polymer suitable for shaping into eyewear frames. Lenses, hinges and other parts have their own material compositions.
What is the difference between polarisation and UV protection?
Polarisation helps reduce reflected glare from surfaces such as water and roads. UV protection relates to filtering ultraviolet radiation. These are separate lens features: polarisation alone does not establish a lens's UV protection level.
